Tennessee is notoriously one of the most dangerous states in the country for motorists. It feels like roadways here are becoming more congested and treacherous. These days, it often seems as if just getting from point A to point B is like running a gauntlet. Unfortunately, itโs not a question of if motor vehicle accidents will happen, but when. A recent fiery accident in Murfreesboro left three people suffering injuries.
The accident involved five vehicles and happened at night at the intersection of North Rutherford Boulevard/ Northfield Boulevard and Lascassas Pike. Reports said the driver of a pickup truck was traveling east on East Northfield Boulevard, approaching a traffic light at Lascassas Pike. According to police reports, the pickup truck slammed into the back of a car at the traffic light, causing a chain reaction pileup.
Reportedly, the impact caused one vehicle to catch fire. Firefighters put out the fire and freed the driver who was trapped in the vehicle. Authorities said the driver was airlifted to an area hospital. Two others were also injured in the crash and taken to medical centers for treatment. Police think speeding may have contributed to the accident.
Obviously, no one sets out with the intent of getting into an accident. The experience of being injured in a serious crash can be devastating. Those in Tennessee who have suffered injuries in motor vehicle accidents caused by the negligence of another party can get help by seeking the services of an experienced attorney. A successful lawsuit could result in much-needed compensation and, in some cases, a sense of justice.
