According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, the sedan crashed head-on into a southbound SUV.
Tragically, authorities said the driver of the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. Police said they are not sure where the driver of the sedan entered the roadway and began heading in the wrong direction. Officials are reportedly conducting toxicology tests to determine if drugs or alcohol played a role in the accident.
